My sister got this idea from a friend and posted it on her blog. The idea struck and encouraged me, so I am doing the same. Perhaps you will like to continue it as well. We so often forget to be thankful for the little blessed things in life, and even more get stressed out about the little irritating things. Our Maker has granted us special things in so very many special ways. So pause for a moment, and put them in focus. This made me want to come up with a list of things, big and little that are special to me, those blessings my Lord saw fit to place in my life. So I have taken a few moments to write down some of these blessings, and I came up with quite a few:
the highlights the summer sun brings out in my hair
watching the rain fall while the sun shines
music
watching someone's eyes sparkle with joy
bright autumn colors
the smell of a fresh, spring day
the arms of a loved one around me
the stars on a dark night
listening to the sounds of nature
the feel of soaring over a jump with a horse
the sound and sight of a waterfall
watching the flames dance in a fire
knowing that my Lord loves me unconditionally
a good book
electric, wild and windy spring days

swinging high on a rope swing
